Speechless Saturday

Long Dog Relaxing

Solving the fear of thunder.

Thunder and lightning. Words that some of our kind fear. Sometimes even before the full event starts, uncontrolable reactions take over. This is the case of Cosmo. Her eyes bulge, panting starts, and no corner of the house or "Mom Made Refuge" comforts her. Until now.

Enter the Thundershirt . And it's a nice piece of clothing for us that somehow relieves anxiety. Specially in times of distress like during a storm. Here is a picture of Cosmo "modeling her new assistance device.

"I hope this works". " A big one is coming".

Of course Mom bought me one too. She hopes that our car rides become more pleasant.

"I like mine, move over Cosmo, my picture is about to be taken".

During the storm, Cosmo disappeared. Mom thought she was outside. After calling her (with no response). Me, and my excellent nose found her. She was deeply asleep in the laundry area. She didn't even noticed when the picture was taken. Mom was very pleased with the Thundershirt effect.

Storm: "Boom, crash, flash, Boom!"
Cosmo: "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ"
Mom: "Thanks Thundershirt"

Mom now wants to test it with both of us during a car ride. But that will be another blog entry. Thanks for reading. : )

June: Summer is here!

Hi!  Nala here. It's been a while but we are back.  Summer is here.  It's very hot.  Our walks with Mom are almost canceled.  Cosmo gets hot too quick.  Mom is thinking on solutions.  My energy levels are accumulating and Mom knows.  The Sunflowers are keep getting bigger:

Also this month Mom finally, yes finally, bought us new collars.  And new tags!!!  They are very cute!  We like them very much.  That means more walks!  

"I like it Mom!  When are we going out?"

" I am ready.  Let's go, let's go!"

Also Mom, is learning how to use Google Chrome, and she obviously dedicated the "homepage" to the ones she loves the most.... Us!!!!

Me and Cosmo playing. This was around March 08. I was still so small, Cosmo was still teaching me the ropes on how to be a good doggie. I have grown much more. I am bigger than Cosmo now. We don't play as much anymore. But when we do... I love it!!! Enjoy

The Sunflower Project

Mommy loves sunflowers!  They are her favorite flowers in the world.  To celebrate her life, she decided to try her "green thumb" this year.  Here are some pics.  From the first buds, to the first bloom.  Hopefully, it will keep growing.  And that means, more pictures to come.   Enjoy!
